The HAB-TX-1500 can lift 4-6lb payloads over 100,000 ft, and users should be familiar with FAA requirements before launch. The HAB-TX-1500 is a popular balloon used by NOAA for arctic and equatorial soundings to study the ozone layer. TX Series balloons are high modulus, high performance balloons focused on superior burst altitude in extreme atmospheric environments. Designed to shed moisture as they rise and retain maximum internal volume capacity, TX balloons usually reach the upper 15th percentile of their respective stand balloon's burst window. TX balloons offer unparalleled performance in the equatorial tropopause, the highest and coldest part of the Earth's stratospheric boundary.
